About the event

Come out and Walk for Freedom and recovery of our residents at the Celebrating the Return walk-a-thon On September 27th 2024 at Berg Park!

  • The event will feature music by our Clancy's local entertainer, Jose Villarreal, and music by Officers and DJ Kyle Lee
  • A Recovery Proclamation will be presented by County Commissioner Gary Mc Daniels, , Commissioner Todacheenee, County Manager Mike Stark and San Juan County Sheriff Captain Kevin Burns
  •  There will be Food!
  • Mental Health Booth for intakes in the park
  • Booths For Families reporting missing relatives and returned relatives in active addition
  • Police recruiting booths
  • Fire Department Tours of Truck and Recruiting
  • Bingo
  • River Rafting Rides and more
  • Walk-a-thon activities began at 10:00 AM
  • Police lip sink and Dance Contests...prizes included
  • Possible Award to San Juan County Sheriff Department and the Attorney general's office for their Recovery and Assistance to trafficking victims and for providing mental health and addiction resources for Victims during 2024!
