Albuquerque | New Mexico Women's
Reentry Center Recovery Car Show

The New Mexico Women's Reentry Center (NMWRC) is hosting its 2nd Annual Recovery Car Show event! NMWRC is a peer-run non-profit in Albuquerque serving justice-involved women statewide through peer support services.

The Recovery Car Show will host local vendors, community organizations, music, food, and of course, some amazing cars!

Albuquerque Center for Hope and Recovery Annual 5K Hero Run 
September 24th
8 am 

Albuquerque Center for Hope and Recovery (ACHR) is seeking Sponsors for its Annual Hero Run! The deadline for Sponsorship is July 31st.  

Dress up as the superhero you are and join the Annual 5K Hero Run! The event will begin promptly at 8 am and follow a scenic pathway around the golf course for a lovely 3.1-mile run or walk. Participants will receive an event

t-shirt, swag bag, and a few extra goodies!

 

The proceeds from the Hero Run provide scholarships for the ACHR's Addicts2Atheletes (A2A) program.

Farmington Celebrates Recovery

Farmington is teaming up with the local Police and Fire Department and will be celebrating Recovery the first week of October! 

​

As a fundrasier, the Farmington Police and Fire Department will be challenging community members to a friendly basketball competition.

Proceeds will go to the newly formed NAMI in San Juan County.

Raton | Recovery & Remembrance
A Celebration of Life


September 10th, 2022
11 am

Join Raton in celebrating recovery! The event will feature recovery speakers, a community picnic, karaoke and dance contests, and activities for children. There will be prizes! 

 

The Remembrance Ceremony will provide family and friends who have lost loved ones to the disease of addiction and drug-related violence to voluntarily share their memories. At the end, there will be a biodegradable balloon release in memory of those lost.

Santa Fe Rally4Recovery

September 24th, 2022

Santa Fe Recovery Center (SFRC) is sponsoring the 9th annual Santa Fe Rally4Recovery event at Santa Fe Rodeo grounds. 

​

Attendees are invited to create art through an interactive community “Butterfly Mural”, listen to music, talk to service providers, experience the stories of recovery in our champion’s walk, learn about the Certified Peer Support Worker program, tell their own recovery story, see how horses and service animals can help with recovery, and celebrate their own and others’ recovery journeys! 

 

Food, entertainment, parking, and presentations will be provided free of charge to all.

Shiprock Celebrates Recovery

“Healing Body, Mind, & Spirit = RECOVERY”

Shiprock celebrates recovery with a free two-day event that covers the topics of alcohol, drug use, domestic violence, trauma, and recovery using both western and traditional concepts at the Healing Circle Drop-In Center.

Join Serna Solutions and the Family Empowerment Project for Recovery Movie Night and a viewing of a film about addiction. Following the movie, there will be a discussion on the strength-based addiction treatment approach in New Mexico known as Community Reinforcement and Family Training or C.R.A.F.T.

 

Come for the entertainment and conversation around effective skills, real strategies, and how to care for yourself and loved ones who are struggling with addiction.

Gallup is celebrating Recovery Month with THREE free events! 

​

Join the Gallup community on September 10th, from 7 pm to 9 pm at the El Morro Theatre for Globe Movie Showings About Recovery!  

​

On September 17th, Gallup will begin the day with a Remembrance & Prayer Walk beginning at 6 am, at 2105 Hasler Valley Road.

 

Beginning at 11 am, the first-ever Gallup Rally4Recovery will kick off at Court House Plaza! Woohoo!

​

All Gallup Recovery events are free and open to the public. The events are intended to raise awareness around the prevalence of substance use disorders and increase community support and engagement for those in recovery and for recovery services in the area.

 

Attendees will be able to listen to music, enjoy food provided by local restaurants/caterers, talk to service providers and supporting community organizations, learn about the Certified Peer Support Worker program, and celebrate their own and others’ recovery journeys.

The Las Cruces Suicide Prevention Task Force is hosting its 6th Annual Recovery Event Summit!

Rio Rancho | Revolutionary Recovery Rally

New Mexico Alumni in Recovery will be hosting its 1st Revolutionary Recovery Rally for National Recovery Month in Rio Rancho!  

​

The AFTERLIFE Peer Support Network and Community Behavioral Health Services will be introduced to community members. There will be a motorcycle/car show, free BBQ, beverages, a photo booth, a dance contest with a gift card giveaway for winners, and live entertainment.

 

Alumni Outreach Mentors will commemorate this occasion as guest speakers. Various peer

mentor programs and supporters are invited to represent hope and share their experiences. There will be a vigil ceremony and balloon release with written messages to reflect and remember dear loved ones who lost their lives while battling addiction.

Taos Recovery Friendly Rally

Recovery is alive and growing in Taos! Recovery-Friendly Taos County (RFTC) and Rio Grande ATP, Inc. (RGATP) are hosting a Recovery Rally in Kit Carson Park in the center of Taos, New Mexico's historic district. 

 

Participants are invited to join a Walk for Recovery and Rally in the Park. The event will host booths highlighting various recovery-related services and organizations, along with a BBQ, food trucks, activities, and a keynote speaker.
